　　ReadingforInformation是麦格劳希尔出版集团针对美国学生开发的一套分级扩展阅读丛书，这套丛书旨在帮助学生掌握、理解“科学”和“社会科学”文本信息的阅读技巧，同时获得这些学科方面的知识。该丛书共分为5个级别（Level），每个级别分为科学和社会科学两大板块，科学板块包括：生命、地球、物理和健康，社会科学板块包括：地理、历史、公民（公民部分内容删去）和经济。美国麦格劳希尔教育编著的《阅读广角(Level5D地球科学&物质科学)》为第五级D本，包括地球和物理部分的内容。本书从美国引进。
